Dear Neighbors,

It is truly an honor to represent the residents of Ward 6 and the City of Burlington on the City Council. My love of Burlington is deeply rooted in a rich history of community involvement as a fourth generation citizen of our City.

 

I grew up on Robinson Parkway and attended and graduated from Burlington schools. After high school, I got a degree in Economics and Political Science from Mount Holyoke College and later a Masters degree in Public Administration from UVM. I am a Certified Public Accountant with experience in both audit and tax work.

 

I was raised with the strong belief that it is my responsibility and obligation to give back to a city that has been so good to me and to my family. I have served on many non-profit boards, have worked on community fund-raising campaigns for children, was a PTO chair, coached youth soccer, and have served on two statewide commissions including the Vermont Environmental Board. In addition, I served on the Burlington Electric and Burlington Police Commissions. I am currently serving as a member of the Vermont Pension Investment Committee which oversees the Vermont state employee pensions.

 

I believe that my combination of government, business and community leadership experience will continue to be an asset to Ward 6 and our City.

 

I could not do what I do without the support of my husband, Mark and our three children, Andrew, Adam and Caroline for which I am always grateful. It is a privilege to serve.
